Homedale Fire fundraiser dinner scheduled

Tickets are still available for Homedale Fire Department’s annual fundraising prime rib and chicken dinner.
Doors open at 5 p.m. and dinner will be served at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 15 for the sixth annual event at Txoko Ona Basque Center, 333 S. Main St. in Homedale.
Tickets are $35 and are available for purchase at NAPA Owyhee Auto Supply and Matteson’s or from any volunteer fireman.
Raffle tickets are also being sold for $5 each.
In the past, proceeds have been used to help families through burnout funds. The department has also purchased extrication gear with the money.
Last year, automatic external defibrillators for Homedale’s three schools was funded through proceeds gathered from the fundraiser.
HFD also donated to the Eagle Scout project for emergency burnout kits. Burnout kits are 5-gallon buckets filled with toiletries and hygiene products for folks that have been forced from their home by a fire.
